 Position Overview

The Product Making & Market Coordinator oversees the making and market operations of MAMA TREE’s Value-Added Product Department. This is a hands-on role that combines product making, kitchen maintenance, staff scheduling, inventory and sales tracking, market preparation, and food safety oversight. 

Qualifications

• Experience with software and software integration, including QuickbooksOnline, AirTable, and Square is highly preferred and prioritized
• Experience working with produce, making shelf-stable foods, and commercial or farm-based kitchens
• Experience in back of house, kitchen coordination, catering, markets, or events with an excitement for healthy food and regenerative practices 
• Systems-minded and adaptable with emergent aspects of farming
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Experience supervising or leading staff in a production or kitchen environment
• Passion and excitement for farmers markets and providing organic produce and products to the local community 
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a fast-paced, collaborative setting
• Basic math skills for measuring, scaling, and cost calculations
• Proficiency with Google Sheets and Google Drive
• Passion for environmental regeneration, with knowledge of regenerative agriculture, agroecology, or permaculture strongly preferred
• Communicating clearly and keeping team morale high under fast-paced, repetitive, or other conditions.
• Multi-tasking between administrative scheduling and active kitchen supervision during peak hours and complicated or hazardous processes.
• Food Handling experience and knowing how to operate commercial kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to commit to a Sunday through Thursday schedule with occasional Saturdays, especially during Holiday Season for special markets.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license 
• Must obtain a CA Food Handler Certificate within 4 weeks of start-date
