While earning his Bachelors in Cultural Anthropology with emphases on Biocultural Diversity and Ethnoecology, Jeffrey became interested in learning deeper, more integrative ways of understanding and interacting with the world in an ethical and ecologically sound way. After working at some farms and completing his PDC, he later continued his training and education at the Permaculture Research Institute of Australia.
Jeffrey deepened his understanding of Ethnoecology with a Masters in Global Sustainability, where he researched how trees and forests impact public health and address environmental justice, while mitigating climate change and providing vital environmental benefits and services.
He has taught, consulted, and worked with small-holder farmers, NGOs, policy makers, and community-based organizations around the world, mainly in East-Africa, to create resilient communities and foster healthy and functioning agro-ecosystems.
Abudu is an Earth tender, forest gardener, natural builder & artist who seeks collective health & liberation through conscious practice, education, & relationship. He is also the Seed sower of Akwaaba Urban Food Forest Garden. He spends most of his days working in community at ‘Mama Tree Orchard’ and tending to the cycles of life on Chumash lands in the Ojai Valley.
Logan is a whole systems thinker and the cultivator of conscious and creative systems. He has 10 years of global Permaculture practice and design working in each climate zone of the world. His passion for animal husbandry, years of experience in the industry and teaching PDCs is his greatest asset to Mama Tree educational programs. He understands how to make large complex fields of knowledge seem easy to grasp and to engage with helping him to guide people into the world of regenerative systems design.
