About:
We will focus on a variety of fiber arts, including wet felting, spinning, weaving, natural dyeing, and sewing. Children will also have the opportunity to spend time and interact with our farm animals.
When:
Monday, August 3 to Friday, August 7 | 9 AM - 1 PM
Who:
Ages 7-10. This is a drop-off day camp, but parents can attend with their child at no charge. If parents would like to participate in crafting, they can pay for extra materials.
Rhythm of the Day:
Arrival: Greeting and free play to allow space and grace for all to join for the day
Short walk: Short walk around the farm to ground and welcome the day
Morning circle: Age appropriate songs and game, followed by morning snack
Handwork circle: Beginning with a story or verse we will begin work on the day’s projects
Lunch: We will break for lunch and eat together under the shade of our heritage walnut tree. No food is provided, parents must pack lunch for their child
Tea time and goodbye: Song will guide us into transition to teatime followed by a short period of free play and our hike back to meet families

Brie Wakeland Muszynski is an outdoor educator with over ten years of experience leading garden, nature-based arts & handwork, naturalist studies, cooking, food preservation, and mindfulness practices to children and adults. She is currently working towards Waldorf Handwork Teacher and Early Childhood Educator certification through Waldorf Handwork Educators and Waldorf Institute of Southern California (WISC).
