Join us for an opportunity to learn and advance your natural building skills as we make and apply natural, clay-based plaster to our new wattle-and-daub market shed at the farm.
Led by local natural building expert Sage Stoneman.
Date
Sunday, February 23rd, 2025
Time
10:00am - 4:00pm
Earthen based plaster is used to seal a wall or structure in order to resist decay and weathering while holding up for every day use. It is often made from a mix of clay, sand, water, and some kind of plant-based fiber. Our mix will include cattail seed pods harvested from our land, as well as local clay. The workshop include how to find and source clay. We will apply plaster to our existing earthen structure that we made with wattle-and-daub during our last Natural Building Workshop mid-January.
